What are the Best Smartphones 2021?
We will discuss “Best Smartphones 2021” in this article. It’s a vast question but nowadays we have got nearly answers. I have got 4 good mentions phones that did not fairly make the highest tier and then 11 phones that I unconditionally love.
Four Fairly Good Phones
(1) Google pixel 3a
No 1 is a smartphone that looks very unremarkable on paper you could read through the phone’s complete specification and you will really appreciate it by saying wow that’s really cool but the Google pixel 3a is one of the nicest phones to use for the $300. You can get it out now clean Google’s software with a pretty decent OLED screen but with this phone, Google has kind of shifted the balance for what they think is essential to a phone far from really high-end materials. This thing is manufactured of plastic and away from a display that fills the complete front of the phone. I was just messing around with it some weeks before capturing photos of my cat and it’s so inspiring that I came back wondering if even my $1400 Galaxy S20-ultra could have done this.
The reason it’s only worth mentioning is that this is their mid-range phone from previous years. So if you bought it today you might be a little bummed in few months but that brings me to the pixel for which is the company’s top-end flagship from last year and it might be a little astonishing. I am even mentioning this at all because when it launched for $800 it was underwhelming and the whole thing was weakening by poor battery life. If a phone cannot get through a complete day of usage. I can’t recommend it however in a bit of a surprise turn of events after a few updates pixel for battery life enhanced. In my testing that doesn’t take place very frequently to be clear and add to that there is maximum areas you can now get it for $499 and I think it’s actually fairly a viable alternative to the iPhone SE.
(2) Oppo find x2 Pro
The second number is a little sad story we are talking about a smartphone that has an unbelievable set of cameras really good performance and a market-leading display. This is the Oppo find x2 Pro and under different circumstances, this could well have been a smartphone of the year the catch is that it’s been pretty much invalidated by the existence of the oneplus 8 Pro. Barely a month after the find x2 Pro oneplus dropped a phone with nearly alike specifications comparable design and software skin. I think most people will choose and have a greatly lower price and that turns Oppo find x2 Pro into essentially a luxury alternative to the one plus. This phone has a lovely vegan leather finish and other companies should also do this. It feels similar to a supercar; the cameras can zoom in more but from a practical point of view it worth the additional money.
(3) iPhone SE
Number 3 in this list is the new iPhone SE. To be clear about it iPhone SE got the build quality and the performance of a thousand-dollar mobile and even the camera is really quite good. It is just that the battery life is not and it’s not just a situation that battery is not the solid point to the phone, it is more you see it could really cause you a minute problem and if using your phone for 2-3 years it’s only going to worse over time. I personally think there are better options but we’ll come to them later.
(4) Oppo Reno 3 Pro
The last in this list is also from Oppo i.e Oppo Reno 3 Pro. I use this phone for nearly two complete months this year, which is far longer than I usually use mid-range phones. You could think of this as a near-flagship camera stuck on a mid-range phone’s body. I just would have liked to see an advanced end chipset inside of it, those are the worthy smartphones and are the best smartphones and I’ve classified them for the diverse kinds of the buyer. If you’re almost a little bit sick of smartphones passing the size of your face you just need a small phone.
There are three good options just as a disclaimer I say the word compact honestly loses sense because the worthiest phones today are not small phones but these 3 should be appealing manageable for everyone. So first of all galaxy S20 and is pretty much a compact phone I’ve been asking for for four years. It has got the modern in the fastest chipset, Ram, storage and the camera. This is the perfect Samsung and the screen is in the top five displays on a phone. Right now we’re talking quad HD plus AMOLED 120 Hertz panel and the batteries great, if you get the Snapdragon version and that’s the one caution if you’re in an area like the UK and India where Samsung serves the Exynos version battery life declines from nice to pretty good. Alternatively, iPhone 11 pro, comparing the specifications and features but this really leads to the question do you want an iPhone or you want an Android.
11 iPhones and Android Recommended Phones
(1) Galaxy S20
We recommend try the galaxy S20, it’s got 5G and the 120 Hertz display will make it feel faster but rest certain if you go for the iPhone 11 Pro it’s up there too and lastly the last compact phone is actually the galaxy S10. Now I usually try to stay away from suggesting older phones because they are going to become old-fashioned quicker but because this group of compact phones doesn’t get much love this is still one of the good choices, for now, closer to $500. Good camera, great display and this just feels like it was manufactured for your palm extremely comfortable to hold, okay for Gaming and to be honest this to that wind by a total landslide, the first one is the red magic 5G which is astonishingly affordable and maybe the fastest smartphone on the planet. It’s also got a 144 Hertz display that is the kind of new thing you see on high-end PC gaming monitors and just generally many features for gamers.
(2) Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro
The 2nd of these gaming smartphones is Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro, someway even more unusual. We’re talking about a phone with a five thousand milliamp-hour battery, 65-watt charger, 7.1-inch quad HD plus 90 Hertz AMOLED display, and dedicated trigger buttons that is hidden when not in use. Technically any of these flagship phones can play games just well, purchasing a gaming phone is for those people who are happy to take a bit of a hit in the camera section. For beginners who play games either sometimes or just for a long duration, otherwise, you might not even see the qualities at all. You’ll just be that person who holds a TV to their ear to dial a phone call. If you want to save little cash and purchase an older gaming phone like let’s say the Asus ROG Phone and answer is perhaps not the way looks like. If you want to game seriously on your phone the number one priority is having the best performance. So if you are buying a gaming phone from previous years, there has an older chip then all of those optimizations are paying including liquid cooling or physical fan, they’re a bit redundant you’d get better performance. if you purchased the low-cost current phone with the latest chip even if it didn’t have all those things. But my main problem with gaming phones is you have to sacrifice photography.
(3) HUAWEI P40 Pro
If you are connecting with people online, then the HUAWEI P40 Pro is the best photography capability I’ve had on a smartphone as long as you are okay with the fact that there are no Google services pre-built on this phone. If you are flawlessly happy with Huawei’s applications gallery or if you are a little tinkerer and you wanted to try and install Google then this is awesome hardware with nice battery life, but I mean you can get good battery life from any of these phones.
(4) Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra
What if you wanted to wake up in the morning downloading 10 films spend the whole day watching them and then finish that all off with a session of gaming. Well, there are two great options 11 Pro Max and Samsung galaxy S20-ultra again though the Snapdragon version they are both extremely costly and just big phones as far as phones with great batteries are concerned there are still two of them all balanced. Let be clear you can get phones with bigger batteries in these two but a good smartphone experience is all about balance what you don’t want is a mediocre smartphone with a power bank tape.
(5) iPhone SE, iPhone XR, and iPhone 11 Cheap iPhones
People have different preferences things that for them are based needs in a phone, that they select and the one I see the most, I choose it to be an iPhone. I know personally many people who don’t ask which phone should I purchase, they always asked which iPhone should I buy because they love Apple features. So if you are in that class of people and you don’t have the budget to buy the exact top rated iPhone 11 pro then you’re perhaps left with these three options. The $399 iPhone SE, the $599 iPhone XR and the $699 iPhone 11 a long story, short I’m going to make this easy for you pick the iPhone 11, iPhone SE is probably not going to cut it battery wise and compared to the iPhone 10, the 11 is much faster and has a far better camera scheme.
(6) Realme Inexpensive Mobile Phones
If you want a budget just usually and you don’t need an iPhone, then I would say “Realme” sits in for those you don’t know. Realme is yet another subsidiary of BBK electronics like Oppo, vivo, and oneplus but the difference is that real me is new and because it’s new the company’s trying to make a name for itself and to do that they’re pricing their phones at an amazingly reasonable price. So for around $250 this one has firstly a quad-camera setup that would sit fine on a $400 phone, a 1080p display which somehow also has a 90 Hertz refresh rate and upper mid-range chipset specializing in gaming and great battery life. Don’t get me wrong you’ll know when you’re using it that it’s not a top-level flagship but for this price, it’s not even close, Realme 6 is up there. There’s also the Xiaomi Poco X2 really just nice phone and again for a budget-friendly price we’re talking 120 Hertz display, 4,500 million power battery, it’s just that you’ll struggle to buy this phone outside of India.
Best All-Rounder Phones
(7) Galaxy S20 Plus
Before the overall winner let’s talk about the best all-rounder phones the phones that don’t necessarily specialize in one thing but ones that do all well and there’s some here I already discussed, the iPhone 11 pro and Galaxy S20 ultra, these two nails the ultimate pillars of what makes a good smartphone but there’s more galaxy S20 plus, which is truly like ultra in the aspects that matter, but a bit slightly smaller, more affordable and little more manageable. To be truthful even though the 64-megapixel main camera there should be less capable than the 108 megapixels,
In practice, it’s not really there are cases where the ultra looks better but there are plenty of cases with a normal S20 and as twenty-plus look better but the fact that they trade blows is telling within what Mi 10 pro and as far as I Know this is the most expensive mainstream phone they’ve ever launched and for some context the Mi 9 pro last year was like $600. This is a thousand but before that, you get pretty much just insane specifications across the board. I already tell you an idea you’ve got a snapdragon 865,108-megapixel quad-camera setup, 4,500 milliamp-hour battery, 65 watt, and dual speakers. Everything is plus all enfolded in something I really like on phones, soft-touch matte finish, it does miss out on an official IP rating which is kind of unclear considering the huge price hike over last models but I don’t think that alone should stop you seeing this phone.
Lastly in this category is Oneplus eight pro and apart from having a headphone jack this is 100% and everything phone every feature that you think at 20:20 flagship should have this perhaps does and is inexpensive compare to its competitors. You could put it as an example side-by-side with the S20-ultra and some people might in fact say they choose the Oneplus. Even though it’s $400 less but it’s not the final value King.
(8) Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
People have also asked me about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. Personally, I would go wrong on the side of caution with that I just think the cameras and the power of the S20 lineup, they’ve come a long way but the Galaxy Note 10 still isn’t old enough to be cheap, either okay that leaves me with my current smartphone of the year and just before I get to that there are many phones that I’ve been seeing online that look actually motivating that I haven’t accomplished a test yet.
(9) Sony Xperia 1
There’s the Sony Xperia 1, which has a great widescreen cinematography-focused phone and it evidently uses technology from the company’s owned by alpha DSLR cameras. I think this is an overwhelming idea but just keep in mind it doesn’t mean it’s going to be great, just take the red hydrogen one as an example there’s this funky new LG velvet smartphone, which kind of makes it seems like LG has gone right back to the drawing board in terms of design. I think is meant to be inspired by water drops but what’s confusing to me is that this would have been an impeccable chance to start using a hole-punch camera for the front as opposed to this kind of ugly-looking notch.
(10) Motorola Edge Plus
Finally, is Motorola Edge+ which is another $100 phone but one that looks like it has very slight missing. It’s even got a 5000 milliamp-hour battery and headphone Jack. So if the software is good, this could really be a top-rated Best Smartphones 2021.
(11) OnePlus 8
Now my complete smartphone value winner is a firm that I was expecting to be impressed by and I was it’s the OnePlus 8 but with one important point, which I’ll come to the phone as OnePlus 8 is typical caveats they lose wireless charging and an official water resistance rating but the important thing is that using it feels indistinguishable from best phones out there including top-level chipset and display.
This is the most comfortable phone Best Smartphones 2021 and it feels just as premium as the Huawei P40 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro but really has smoother less bloated software than both of those Phones. The one point you’ll be reminded of that you didn’t just sink a thousand dollars into your phone is the camera where oneplus has basically reused the sensors from last year’s, I was initially kind of angry by this but I mean look at the iPhone SE that uses a camera sensor from three years previous, just with better software and it’s a similar story. Here the camera won’t blow you away but it’s really fairly good. The important thing to keep in mind here is that with oneplus phones in particular pricing changes greatly by region to the point where I don’t think it’s even fair for me to say that the OnePlus 8 is the best value regardless of where you live. Let me provide you an example in the US, OnePlus 8 is the exact same price as the iPhone 11 but here in the UK it’s the equivalent of $133 cheaper and if you go to India it is factually $300 cheaper so while in the U.S you could look at both these phones and think ok I’ve got a little preference for iOS, I’m going to pick the iPhone that makes much less sense in the UK and it makes much less sense if you’re in India where I think the oneplus delivers unquestionably higher value.
